Technical Training Instructor

As a Technical Training Instructor, you will be delivering high-quality technical training courses and workshops across ASEAN as part of the Education Services team. The main focus will be on delivering training courses on VMware and may also include other technologies such as NetApp, AWS or Google.

A technical training professional and skilled communicator, you will bring your passion for technologies and industry experience to your classes. You will be comfortable delivering both in-person and online, and have the ability to quickly digest complex technical concepts and convey them to a training audience in a clear and engaging manner across all training modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical workshops and courses for customers and partners in ASEAN region
  • Manage training sessions effectively and ensuring the class stays on track with intended agenda
  • Adapt training delivery to incorporate new methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Develop custom content for workshops and webinars based on current training curriculum
  • Update and maintain existing training labs for delivering the training classes
  • Support customers and sales on training enquiries by acting as a subject matter expert
  • Ability to meet the requirements established for the Instructor Certification Program
  • Maintain excellent learning experience and customer satisfaction survey results

Requirements

  • General knowledge of systems administration, networking, client/server applications and hardware configuration
  • Understanding cloud computing domain and technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Exposure to virtual machine backups, disaster recovery solutions is an added advantage 
  • Practical experience on Compute, Networking (Fibre Channel, TCP/IP, iSCSI, FCoE) & Storage (Software-Defined, iSCSI, SAN) infrastructure management and implementation
  • Strong knowledge in Virtualization technologies, such as VMware ESXi, Microsoft HyperV, etc
  • Ability to Install, Configure, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere 
  • Proven ability to effectively to explain complex technical concepts to audiences of various sizes
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal, with strong professional presentation skills
  • 3+ years relevant IT industry experience as a technical trainer in delivering courses relating to virtualization, cloud, operating systems, networking & storage is highly desirable
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and VMware Certified Instructor (VCI) preferred
  • Perform other tasks, roles and responsibilities, as required
